Pricing Questions
Do you charge a percentage of my transactions?
No. We charge a flat monthly fee based on your customer count. Stripe's processing fees are separate and go directly to Stripe. We don't take a cut of your revenue.
What counts as a customer?
A customer is any contact in your billing portal—whether they have an active subscription, unpaid invoice, or are just stored for future billing. Deleted customers don't count toward your limit.
What happens if I hit my customer limit?
You'll need to upgrade to add more customers. Existing customers remain fully accessible—you just can't add new ones until you upgrade or remove some.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes. Upgrade instantly to get immediate access to higher limits. Downgrade at any time—changes take effect at your next billing cycle.
Is there a contract or setup fee?
No contracts, no setup fees. All plans are month-to-month. Cancel anytime and retain access until the end of your billing period.
Do you store my payment data?
No. All payment data stays with Stripe. We connect via OAuth and only access what Stripe provides through their API. We never see or store your customers' card numbers.
What's the difference between your fee and Stripe's fee?
Stripe charges processing fees (typically 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction). Our fee is a separate, flat monthly subscription for using Conto Billing. Both fees apply, but they're separate.
